Anniversary of the enlightenment of Tavatiru Balamurugan Adimai Swamigal

On 20th March 1968, our Swami attained Mey Jñānam, his enlightenment into True Knowledge by the grace of Rathinagiri Bāla Murugan. From that day forth he has been known as Rathinagiri Bāla Murugan Adimai, the servant of Rathinagiri Bāla Murugan.

This memorable event of Swami's spiritual awakening took place on 20th March 1968. Ever since then the spiritual well being of his devotees has continued unabated.

In commemoration of this holy event, devotees annually offer annadanam or the offering of pure vegetarian meals to hundreds, even thousands, of devotees who throng to Rathinagiri to celebrate the anniversary of our Swamigal's Mey Jñānam
